One of the major fundraising events held by the Conference is the Friends of the Poor 5K Walk/Run & Kiddy-K . It is held early October, around the feast of our patron St. Vincent de Paul. One hundred percent of the proceeds directly support Calvert County residents in need.

Friends of the Poor Walk/Run 5K
This is a 5K timed run event being held at
Jesus the Good Shepherd beautiful trail.
The course is a fast, mostly flat, with some wooded trail.
In addition, there will be a kids fun run Kiddy-K
for children 10 and under.
Awards for the overall top male and female will be provided as well as awards for the top male and female runners in each age bracket.
There will be games, visit from the fire department,
door prices, raffle items, 50/50 raffle &
many wonderful silent auction items.
